The Benefits of Burpees

Burpees are a callisthenic exercise.   A burpee is essentially a squat, push-up and a squat done in rapid succession.   Burpees work through quick movement and use the weight of your own body.  No training equipment is necessary.

A burpee is a full body workout.   A burpee exercises your core, legs, arms, abs, buttocks and back muscles.  Additionally, burpees are a great cardio workout.   Doing burpees for 15 to 30 minutes is an effective cardio workout, by keeping your heart rate near its maximum rate.

Burpees will increase your flexibility in your back, hips, legs and core.  Burpees are an anaerobic, short burst, exercise that will help you lose weight and tone your body.  Add burpees to your routine.
